As 2025 comes to a close, I’m taking a moment to look back at the content you loved most on Amy’s Nutrition Kitchen. This #BestNine2025 roundup highlights the recipes, resources, and conversations that resonated most this year—and together, they tell a bigger story about what you’re craving: approachable nutrition, realistic diabetes care, and food that’s both nourishing and enjoyable. #BestNine2025 – Website
Hugo Spritz
This recipe has been my #1 recipe for the last two years! It truly is my favorite apertif (thanks to my friend Felix for sharing his favorite!). This year I posted a Rosé Hugo Spritz for the current trend of the year. However, the original still remains THE most searched recipe on my site! Cheers!
Homemade Taco Seasoning
This homemade taco seasoning mix is simple to make. The best part? You get to add less salt and still keep it flavorful! This seasoning mix works great not only on tacos, but also veggies, seafood, beans, salads, and more!
Egg Potato Salad
This Egg Potato Salad is creamy and delicious! It’s the perfect side dish for your summer BBQ, family gatherings, potlucks and picnics. Easy to make and prep ahead, the flavors get better the longer it sits!
Apple Crumble (for Two)
When you want a small-batch dessert, this is my go-to apple crumble recipe for two! & yes, you can make more, but this is best served straight from the oven!
Fall Sangria
Sangria is delicious year-round, but it’s also a tasty beverage to serve up during your fall get-togethers. It’s so simple to double (or triple) recipes to share with your guests! With warm flavors like cinnamon, apple and orange, this fall sangria is sure to be your next go-to cocktail!
#BESTNINE2025 – WORK
After leaving my position with a local healthcare organization and joining the corporate world, there is one thing I can tell you for sure: nothing is guaranteed. However, having never worked in the corporate setting it’s been an eye opener to learn things from a business standpoint. I am currently still employed (it’s a contract and a contract work could end tomorrow), however, I can sufficely say that the job is rewarding and needed!
Recap: I work remotely helping patients place continuous glucose monitors and offering support in getting started. Just this month I had a patient after using the CGM for 3 months go from an A1c of 13% to 7%. If that’s not a testimonial, I’m not sure what is! Diabetes always used to be an area for me that was a challenge. Working in the field over the past 10 years within diabetes education (and 25 years as a dietitian!) has finally led me to feel as though I’m an ‘expert’ in the field. Here’s to another year of helping patients manage their diabetes.

#BESTNINE2025- PERSONAL
After finishing my master’s last December, there were a few months where I felt burned out! Finally took some actual graduation pictures and I’m happy that I took the time to do so! Then I took time adjusting to my new job and slowly moving back into ‘feel good movement’ (aka exercise). I’m proud to say that I have been consistently working out for a year now. Starting to feel stronger (which is what my goal is!) and hope to continue to stay as consistent with my workouts as I can!
I traveled to San Diego (where I used to live) for my nephew’s high school graduation in May! Hard to believe he’s all grown up and graduated! And then in October I went to Boston to experience ‘fall’ and see leaves change. Already plotting and planning for next year of a few trips. I might or might not have a *big* birthday coming up and that is definitely something to be celebrated!
The blog continues to grow and for that I’m thankful (for you all especially!) Some may consider this to be under the work section; however, I see it as a personal area as well. Never in my wildest dreams did I think my hobby would turn into something profitable. Having more time I did finally launch some of my diabetes education. If you haven’t checked that out, please do. And if it’s not something that is helpful for you, please pass it on to someone that it could be of help to! Excited to see what this next year holds. I know that I’ll continue to pursue things that bring me joy: education, photography, and recipe content creation!

#BESTNINE2025 – INSTAGRAM
In 2025 I almost didn’t post a static Instagram feed post! Social media has not been my priority with building out my blog, and so it’s only recently that I started posting more on the feed! Which leads me to say that there is no highlight of my top none posts since I probably only posted nine. Wherever you follow, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, or just from my weekly email, I do appreciate the continued *virtual* support. It means the world to me. Take a few minutes to leave a review and ⭐rating if you can. It really helps other readers (and Google!) find my best and most-loved recipes.
