Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 3/4-ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2-ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2-ounce limoncello
  • 2-3 basil leaves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 bar spoon extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Muddle the Basil: In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the basil leaves with the lemon juice and simple syrup to release their flavor.
  2. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the vodka, limoncello, egg white, and bar spoon of olive oil.
  3. Dry Shake: Shake vigorously without ice for about 15 seconds. This helps emulsify the egg white and create that frothy texture.
  4. Shake Again with Ice: Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
  5. Strain & Serve: Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a basil leaf or lemon twist if desired.
