- 3/4-ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2-ounce simple syrup
- 1/2-ounce limoncello
- 2-3 basil leaves
- 1 egg white
- 1 bar spoon extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Muddle the Basil: In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the basil leaves with the lemon juice and simple syrup to release their flavor.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the vodka, limoncello, egg white, and bar spoon of olive oil.
- Dry Shake: Shake vigorously without ice for about 15 seconds. This helps emulsify the egg white and create that frothy texture.
- Shake Again with Ice: Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
- Strain & Serve: Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
- Garnish: Garnish with a basil leaf or lemon twist if desired.
