Perfect brown rice.  Every time!  You never have to worry about the amount of water you add – it’s a simple boil method – and it really turns out perfect!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup brown rice, rinsed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Full pot of water

Instructions

  1. Bring a big pot of water to a boil.  
  2. Dump in brown rice and boil, uncovered for 30 minutes.  
  3. Turn off the heat, drain the rice and return it to the pot.
  4. Cover and let the rice steam in the pot for 10 minutes. 
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork.
